Hours Calculator handles the arithmetic that spreadsheets make unexpectedly hard: adding durations in hours and minutes, totalling a column of them, and converting between clock time and decimal hours.
The conversion is where the mistakes happen. Seven hours and forty-five minutes is 7.75 decimal hours, not 7.45, because minutes are sixtieths rather than hundredths. Timesheets and payroll systems usually want decimal; people naturally write clock time; and the difference on a forty-hour week is enough to matter in pay.
The hourly rate field closes the loop, turning a total straight into money. The per-line table shows each entry in all three forms -- clock, decimal and minutes -- which is the quickest way to find the one entry that was mistyped when a total does not look right.
The page shows its working, not just its answer. Where there is a formula it is printed with your own numbers substituted in, so you can check the result rather than take it on trust -- which is the difference between a calculator you can use for something that matters and one you cannot.
Everything runs inside your browser. What you type is never uploaded, never logged and never stored, and the calculator keeps working if your connection drops after the page has loaded.

h:mm, one per line, such as 7:45. Values over 24 hours are fine, and the parser accepts a leading zero or none.
