Military Time Converter moves between the 12-hour and 24-hour clocks in both directions, and gives the spoken form used in military and aviation contexts -- 'fourteen thirty hours' rather than 'two thirty in the afternoon'.
Midnight and noon are the cases worth knowing, because the 12-hour clock handles them badly. Midnight is 12:00 AM and noon is 12:00 PM, which is counter-intuitive enough that hospitals, airlines and the military avoid the problem entirely by using 00:00 and 12:00. A medication chart or a flight time that says 12 AM is genuinely ambiguous to a tired reader.
The 24-hour clock also sorts correctly, which matters more than it sounds. 09:00 comes before 14:00 both numerically and chronologically, where 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM do not -- which is why every log file, timestamp and scheduling system uses it.
The page shows its working, not just its answer. Where there is a formula it is printed with your own numbers substituted in, so you can check the result rather than take it on trust -- which is the difference between a calculator you can use for something that matters and one you cannot.
Everything runs inside your browser. What you type is never uploaded, never logged and never stored, and the calculator keeps working if your connection drops after the page has loaded.

The military time converter is used by writers, developers, students, marketers and anyone else who needs the job done once without installing software. Common cases include:
Midnight. 12 PM is noon. The ambiguity is exactly why the 24-hour clock exists, where midnight is 00:00 and noon is 12:00.
Nearly. Military time is usually written without a colon, as 1430, and spoken as "fourteen thirty hours". The arithmetic is identical.
Both refer to midnight. 0000 is the start of a day and 2400 is sometimes used for the end of the previous one; 0000 is the standard form.
