Salary Calculator
Convert a salary between hourly, weekly, monthly and annual figures.
Convert an hourly rate into a salary, or a salary into an hourly rate.
Reduce this for unpaid leave: 48 weeks is four weeks unpaid.
An alternative to adjusting the weeks.

Hourly to Salary Calculator converts in both directions and shows every period at once: hourly, daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly and yearly. The shortcut everybody uses -- double the hourly rate and add three zeros -- works only for a 40-hour week with no unpaid leave, which is why it is so often wrong.
Unpaid leave is the input that matters most and is most often ignored. A contractor on 25 an hour who takes four unpaid weeks earns 48,000 rather than 52,000, and comparing that against a salaried offer without the adjustment makes the contract look better than it is. Either reduce the paid weeks or enter the unpaid days.
Even with the arithmetic right, the two are not equivalent. A salary usually comes with paid leave, sick pay, a pension contribution and notice; an hourly rate often does not. None of that appears in a gross comparison, and all of it is worth real money.
This is arithmetic, not financial advice. It tells you what the numbers do; it cannot tell you whether a decision is right for your circumstances. Fees, taxes and local rules vary, so check anything that matters against the actual offer and speak to someone qualified before committing.
Everything is worked out inside your browser. Nothing you enter is uploaded, logged or stored, which matters for the financial calculators in particular: the figures you put into them are nobody else's business.
The hourly to salary calculator is used by writers, developers, students, marketers and anyone else who needs the job done once without installing software. Common cases include:
That assumes 40 hours for all 52 weeks with nothing unpaid. It is a reasonable starting point for a salaried job and wrong for most contract work.
Either reduce the paid weeks, or enter the unpaid days, which converts them at five days to a week.
Gross, before any deduction. Tax depends on your country and circumstances and is not estimated here.
