FreeToolStation respects copyright, and we expect the same of anyone using the site. This page is the route for a copyright complaint in either direction.

Content on this site

The tools, the written content, the design and the code are the original work of FreeToolStation, except where a page says otherwise. Algorithms implemented from published specifications, such as hashing and barcode standards, are written from those specifications.

You are welcome to link to any page. You may not copy the written content or the code to republish as a competing site. Using the tools is free; republishing the site is not permitted. See the terms of use.

Reporting material you own

If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, write to hello@freetoolstation.org with the subject line "Copyright complaint" and include:

1. A description of the work you say has been copied, with a link to the original.
2. The exact address on this site where the material appears.
3. Your name, postal address and email address.
4. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

We review complaints promptly. Where a complaint is well founded the material is removed or disabled, and we will tell you what was done.

If your material was removed

If you believe material of yours was removed in error, send a counter-notice to the same address including the material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court. We will consider it on the same terms.

Knowingly false claims

A person who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages. Please be sure before you send a notice.

Content you create with the tools

What you produce with these tools is yours. We never receive it, so we have no claim over it and could not act on one. What you do with it is your responsibility, including making sure you had the right to the material you put in.
