Contact FreeToolStation

Report a problem, suggest a tool, or ask a question about how something works.

Questions, corrections and tool suggestions are all welcome. The quickest way to reach us is by email at hello@freetoolstation.org. There is no ticket system and no chatbot; messages are read by a person.

Corrections come first. If a tool has produced a wrong answer, that is treated as the most serious kind of problem on the site, ahead of any new feature, so a report with the input you used is genuinely useful.

Send a message

This site is a static front end with no server behind it, so this form does not submit anything to us. Filling it in and pressing the button opens your own email program with the message ready to send. If you would rather not use it, email hello@freetoolstation.org directly.

What to include

  • Reporting a wrong result? Tell us which tool, what you entered, what you expected and what you got. That is usually enough to reproduce the problem straight away.
  • Suggesting a tool? Describe the job it should do rather than the interface. Tools that solve a common problem and can run entirely in the browser are the ones most likely to be built.
  • Asking about reuse? The terms of use cover what you can do with the output, which is in short: anything you like.
  • A privacy or data question? The privacy policy and cookie policy answer most of them, including what the advertising does and does not see.

What we cannot help with

We cannot recover a password a generator produced, because none is ever stored. We cannot see what you entered into a tool, for the same reason. And we cannot build the twelve tools that need a server to work -- URL, DNS, SSL and domain checkers among them -- because a browser is not permitted to request another domain and read the response.

Site owner note

If you are running this site yourself, replace the address hello@freetoolstation.org in contact.html and in assets/js/contact.js with your own, or connect the form to a form-handling service by adding an action attribute to it. The address also appears in builder/build.py, which is where to change it if you intend to rebuild.
