Final Grade Calculator answers the question every student asks in the last week of term: what do I need on the final? It takes the grade you hold going in, the weight the final carries, and the overall grade you are aiming for, then solves for the exam mark that gets you there.
The arithmetic is a weighted average rearranged. If the final is worth 30% then 70% of your overall grade is already fixed, and that fixed part is your current grade multiplied by 0.7. Subtract it from the target, divide by 0.3, and you have the mark required. The best and worst figures come from the same formula with 100% and 0% in place of the unknown, which brackets every outcome still available to you.
Sometimes the honest answer is that the target is gone: if the required mark comes out above 100%, no exam result reaches it. That is worth knowing early rather than late, because the remaining options -- a resit, an improved piece of coursework, a conversation with the tutor -- all need time. The table of outcomes shows what each exam mark actually delivers, which is usually more useful than a single target.
The page shows its working, not just its answer. Where there is a formula it is printed with your own numbers substituted in, so you can check the result rather than take it on trust -- which is the difference between a calculator you can use for something that matters and one you cannot.
Everything runs inside your browser. What you type is never uploaded, never logged and never stored, and the calculator keeps working if your connection drops after the page has loaded.

The final grade calculator is used by writers, developers, students, marketers and anyone else who needs the job done once without installing software. Common cases include:
The weighted average of everything completed so far, excluding the final. If your course page shows a running percentage, that is the figure to use.
The target is no longer reachable through the exam alone. The best possible figure shows the highest grade still available to you.
Yes. Enter the weight of whichever assessment is outstanding; the maths does not care what it is called.
Convert your points to a percentage of the points available first, then the same calculation applies.
