Concrete Calculator
Concrete volume in cubic metres and bags.
Panels, posts, gravel boards and post-mix for a fence run.
A standard UK panel is 1.83 m, six feet.
Roughly a quarter of the post length, or 60 cm for a 1.8 m fence.
Optional.

Fence Calculator works out the panels, posts, gravel boards and post-mix a run of fencing needs. The arithmetic looks trivial and has one trap in it: a run needs one more post than it has panels, because both ends need one.
Gates add another post each, since a gate needs its own hanging post rather than sharing one with a panel. Between them, those two rules are why a thirty-metre fence with one gate needs eighteen posts for sixteen panels, and why ordering posts to match the panel count stops the job with everything else already on site.
The last panel almost never lands exactly, and its cut width is shown so you know before you start. Post-mix is estimated from the hole volume at roughly 0.01 cubic metres per 20 kg bag; holes a quarter of the post length deep is the usual rule, which is 60 cm for a 1.8 metre fence.
The page shows its working, not just its answer. Where there is a formula it is printed with your own numbers substituted in, so you can check the result rather than take it on trust -- which is the difference between a calculator you can use for something that matters and one you cannot.
Everything runs inside your browser. What you type is never uploaded, never logged and never stored, and the calculator keeps working if your connection drops after the page has loaded.
Looking for something this does not cover? FreeToolsZone.org is more free browser-based tools, organised by job, and it is worth a look if fence calculator is only part of what you are working on.
The fence calculator is used by writers, developers, students, marketers and anyone else who needs the job done once without installing software. Common cases include:
One more than the number of panels, plus one extra for each gate. Both ends of a run need a post.
Roughly a quarter of the post length, so about 60 cm for a 1.8 m fence. Deeper in soft ground or an exposed position.
About one 20 kg bag per hole for a 30 cm diameter hole 60 cm deep. The calculator works it out from your own hole size.
